Smart campaigns will soon upgrade to Performance Max
To boost campaign performance and help you meet your advertising goals, Smart campaigns will soon upgrade to Performance Max campaigns. This upgrade will drive even higher return on investment (ROI) for your campaigns.
We’ll start to upgrade Smart campaigns starting in mid-May and complete over the course of the following few weeks. Once we’ve upgraded your account, you'll be able to view your campaign’s full history in Reporting.
Note: Smart campaigns that are imported from Google Ads won’t be upgraded at this time.
We’ll also include autogenerated assets in your campaign to enhance ad relevance and performance. You’ll be able to see and manage these in your Asset group settings.
More updates on Performance Max releases continuing to come
Lastly, Microsoft continues to invest in more capabilities for our Performance Max offerings, including now having support for scripts and automated rules, additional reporting on assets and audiences, and LinkedIn targeting as an audience signal. Additional features such as ability to import brand lists from Google Ads and new customer acquisition goal are coming in the next few weeks.
Conclusion
That's all for this month's roundup blog. We’ll see you back here on June 3rd with another recap of what else is to come in Microsoft Advertising. Take care!
